In the past, known rules would have to be overtly violated in order to harm someone or harass/punish/torture them. A physical "paper trail" always existed which detectives could follow. But this new warfare can be conducted without violating known rules, as long as it is kept a secret -- which makes it so important to report on (sunlight is the ultimate disinfectant).
COmpelling - builds on the work of others in the space in a desirable way...however, getting a reasonably priced (hard copy) copy of the book is impossible, from my searches, the "eBooks' are $50+ and if you're not an e-Reader, then there are no PDF's available either. Disappointing to learn of the resource, but not be able to avail oneself of the material.

While I understand that there's been a lot of speculation surrounding 5GW, one of the things to remember is that the differences that we are seeing are quantitative, and not qualitative. Qualititative change is what delineates generation from generation.
The elements, or qualities, have not changed beyond the quantities/volume/intensity. The elements involved in what people like to term 5GW have been around for some time. Their configuration, relative to other elements may have changed focus, but they are not new.
And... I say this from having had multiple analytical conversations with Bill Lind, the genesis of the idea of "generations of warfare" and the source of the idea of 4GW.

I’m in Aus and I’m pretty sure that our libraries would not , get this book.
