May 2025 my daughter and I had who are both cdn did a stop at Mount Rushmore , my daughter had tears of amazement. Well when we were if the gift store the electrical grid went down. They quickly decided they could use a calculator and could still take cash. Us cash users were the winners. Those who had NOMONEY were shit outa luck. We then turned into crazy horse but after paying park fees, hotels, gifts at Rushmore we decided we were not going to see Ian unfinished carving and we turned around the the pay booth. They do not accept cash. Park fees are not cash either. Disappointing! I pay cash for everything under $100 or more if it’s in my wallet. Bravo to this woman for fighting!!at her insistence on a two week road trip that took us from BC as far as Nebraska. Mount Rushmore is phenomenal
